Resolution of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Following the very serious situation in the Middle East and the blockage of the ways to reach a political settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict, due to the Zionist policies of Israel and world Imperialism, and Israel's ongoing, flagrant rejection of the resolutions of international legitimacy, particularly resolutions 242, 338 and 194, providing for full withdrawal from the Arab lands it occupied in 1967, the WPC Executive Committee adopted the following resolution:
  •  Considering that the Israeli policy, based on usurpation and contravention of international legitimacy, has become more intransigent and extreme after the formation of Netanyahu's government, which raises the motto of the racist Jewish state in Israel, which simply means the expulsion of nearly 1.5 million other Palestinians from their homeland because of their Arab origin, the WPC expresses full solidarity with the just struggle of the Palestinian people, their right to return to their homeland, their right to self determination and to establish their own independent, sovereign national state, with East-Jerusalem as its capital, and the repatriation of the displaced refugees, according to the Un General Assembly Resolution 194, the release of all detainees and the removal of all settlements.
     
  • The WPC also affirms the right of the Palestinian people to resist the occupation forces in the Palestinian territories and settlements
  • The participants of the EC call upon all the peace forces, popular and civil organizations, human rights societies, environment-protection societies, and all other social movements all over the world to exert all the necessary pressures to try the Israeli war criminals for the successive massacres they committed against the Palestinian people over many years, and to take up such trials with various international bodies.
  • All segments and factions of the Palestinian people have suffered from the occupation. Therefore, we call for going ahead with the Goldstone report through all world organizations and frameworks, in order to bring to justice the commanders and generals of the occupation whose hands are tarnished with the blood of the Palestinian people, so that these criminals may be punished for their crimes against humanity.
  • The participants of the EC confirm their sincere call upon all Palestinian groups to end the state of division in their ranks; it only serves imperialism and Zionism. Real national Palestinian unity is the sure guarantee to defeat all imperialist plots and to attain the rights of the Palestinian people.
